Teaching

 

Dr. Rousseau offers a range of trainings and curricula. She works extensively with diverse groups including law enforcement and first responders, yoga and mindfulness practitioners, educators, researchers, and entrepreneurs.  

Dr. Rousseau’s academic teaching bridges the mental health and criminal justice systems. She encourages her students to engage in critical assessment and to actively question as they learn. She considers herself to be a feminist, activist and social justice scholar. Dr. Rousseau is a strong advocate of self-care in her students, particularly as related to the impacts of vicarious trauma.
